We are big fans of Mindjet's MindManager application here at Geek.com (see our last ) and were pleased to see the that announced the upcoming release of MindManager 7. Is scheduled to be available on May 30th in three different flavors: MindManager Pro 7, MindManager Lite 7, and MindManager 7 Mac. MindManager 7 has a new user interface based on Microsoft Office Fluent UI (use of the Ribbon) that optimizes usability. The application has new map styles and galleries, enhanced ScreenTips, improved Office integration, advanced sorting, and much more. The Lite version is designed for students and home users and does not have all of the functionality found in the Pro version, but still gives you enough to start making mind maps.

The Mac version is improved over version 6 with a new way to select topics by rules, printing enhancements, and much more. Pricing ranges from US$99 to US$349 with reduced upgrade pricing available.

Joel's Note: I was just treated to a full demo of the new version and have to say that I can't wait to get going with it. I had always used MindManager for mind mapping and brain dumping but never thought of using it to manage articles that I have written in various stages and a variety of other tasks that I keep my eye on. With the new interface you can truly visualize both your personal and professional life with ease.
